Break

This is a story about how a local dance and gymnastics instructor helped out a group of break dancers. I first saw these break dancers while covering a community event in GIlbert, Arizona. They seemed to defy gravity. Once I talked with them they explained how a local gym owner helped them out and it sounded like an interesting story. Everything was shot with a Canon 5dMK2 and a Canon 1Dmk4. I also use a Marantz audio recorder to gather my interviews.

Curator Jens Karlson asked me to make a short animation and get Robert Knoke’s black and white artwork as base for video.
